St John's Wort flower (hypericum perforatum), fresh
Extracted in oil. Blended with beeswax.
Noted traditionally in topical application to deep wounds, with an affinity to the nervous system and in case of burns. The oil enters a red hue during the extraction process, indicating a signature for heat patterns in the body. This is a salve that lives next to the stove and is in each of our camping packs.
