Ingredients: Meadowsweet, Turmeric, Barberry, Black Pepper, Organic Cane Alcohol

Meadowsweet- a lovely wildflower that is energetically cooling yet promotes circulation and has astringent properties. Quells inflammation by addressing the underlying issues leading to that process. Helpful with pain, itching, swelling and toning damaged tissue. Contains salicylates which are converted to salicylic acid only in the liver, traditionally used in restorative care of ulcers.

Turmeric- extracted with a smidge of black pepper to boost its absorption rates. Curcumin, the "active component" of turmeric has been stacked up against many pharmaceutical preparations for pain and inflammation in rigorous peer reviewed trials, most often coming out on top. Turmeric has a laundry list of benefits, including those for the heart and brain. However, in this formula we include it for the inflammation modulating properties. Its energetics are mildly warming (with net cooling effects on body) and it is also an astringent with circulatory stimulant properties.

Barberry- A functional alternative to the endangered plant Goldenseal. We find it acts in a similar way, but is more ethical to harvest. Barberry is a powerhouse in its own right! It is energetically cold and dry, having strong inflammation modulating and contact antiseptic properties. Research shows that full-spectrum Barberry root extracts, with or without leaves included, are more antimicrobial than berberine alone. It has a strong affinity on the mucosal membranes and is well suited in helping abate sinus and gut inflammatory processes, especially if they are related in part to an infectious process.

(Note: we find plants are wholly active, and by separating them out into their chemical parts, we do both ourselves and the plants a disservice).
